For fall planting, cool season crops are in the cooler Sept-October planting window. Ideally, get seedlings/transplants into the ground by October 31. Some ideas on what to plant during the fall are leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, kale), root vegetables (carrots, radishes, beets), alliums (onions, garlic, leeks), cabbage family (broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts), squash (pumpkin, zucchini, acorn squash).
