HRC envisions a day in which all individuals and families affected by substance use and co-occurring disorders find recovery and are embraced and connected in communities, free from stigma and discrimination. HRC supports all persons struggling with substance use and mental health disorders; however, we give special attention to persons who, because of seemingly insurmountable barriers resulting from stigma, prejudice, or discrimination are often denied the opportunity to embrace recovery.
