Merrick Purrfect Bistro is celebrating cats everywhere with the inaugural Purrfect Choice Awards, a virtual awards show honoring the unique personalities that make every cat special.
Nominations are open now through July 5. Cat owners can head to PurrfectBistro.com/Awards to submit a photo or video of their cat for categories including Best Cat Napper, Conversation Companion, and Foodie of the Year.
Everyone who submits a nomination will receive a free coupon for Merrick Purrfect Bistro cat food and treats.
The awards show will stream on August 8, International Cat Day, at 2 p.m. EST on the YouTube channel of host Wendy Ly, a content creator, entrepreneur, and cat mom with more than 5 million followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
"As a cat mom of two, I noticed very early on that every single cat has very unique personalities that deserve to be celebrated," Ly said.
A panel of Purrfect Bistro judges will handpick finalists, and the public will also vote to determine winners. Six category winners will be selected, along with one grand prize winner.
"The grand prize winner will receive a six-month supply of Purrfect Bistro and a multi-story cat house for your cat," Ly said.
Ly said she is most excited about her role in the event.
"I'm super excited to be the very first host of the Purrfect Choice Awards. I think that's so exciting," Ly said.
